Santé de la femme : une licence européenne pour le probiotique L. plantarum PROGE P17630®  

Lallemand Health Solution a annoncé la signature d’un nouvel accord avec Proge Farm^® concernant l’utilisation sur le territoire européen du probiotique L. plantarum PROGE P17630^®. 

Lallemand Health Solutions (Canada) et Proge Farm^® (Italie), fournisseurs de souches probiotiques, ont annoncé fin décembre 2025 une nouvelle étape importante dans leur partenariat : un nouvel accord concernant L. plantarum PROGE P17630^® en usage oral et pour une utilisation possible désormais dans l’Union européenne. 

La souche, initialement concédée sous licence (30 juin 2020) par Proge Farm^® à Lallemand Health Solutions pour l’Asie, les Amériques, la France et la République tchèque, est désormais disponible sous le nom de Lactiplantibacillus plantarum P17630^® (Rosella^® chez Lallemand) en Europe.

Bienfaits pour la santé de la femme 

Cette souche, que l’on retrouve aujourd’hui également en cosmétique, offre aux femmes une solution orale pratique pour leur santé intime. En septembre 2021, Santé Canada a officiellement reconnu ses bienfaits en lui accordant des allégations telles que « Contribue à la santé féminine ou vaginale » ou encore « Maintient un microbiome vaginal sain ». 

L. plantarum P17630^®  est isolé à partir d’une flore vaginale saine. Six études cliniques menées auprès de plus de 800 femmes dont deux qui incluent une administration par voie orale (1,2), démontrent les bienfaits du probiotique pour le maintien de l’équilibre vaginal et son soutien aux traitements conventionnels contre la candidose vulvo-vaginale récurrente. 

Ce probiotique se présente sous la forme d’une dose quotidienne recommandée de cinq milliards d’UFC à prendre par voie orale.

Women’s health: European licence for the probiotic L. plantarum PROGE P17630®

Lallemand Health Solution has announced the signing of a new agreement with Proge Farm^® concerning the use in Europe of the probiotic L. plantarum PROGE P17630^®.

Lallemand Health Solutions (Canada) and Proge Farm^® (Italy), suppliers of probiotic strains, announced at the end of December 2025 a new milestone in their partnership: a new agreement concerning L. plantarum PROGE P17630^® for oral use and for possible use now in the European Union.

The strain, initially licensed (30 June 2020) by Proge Farm® to Lallemand Health Solutions for Asia, the Americas, France and the Czech Republic, is now available under the name Lactiplantibacillus plantarum P17630® (Rosella® at Lallemand) in Europe.

Benefits for women’s health

This strain, which is now also found in cosmetics, offers women a convenient oral solution for their intimate health. In September 2021, Health Canada officially recognised its benefits by granting it claims such as ‘Contributes to female or vaginal health’ and ‘Maintains a healthy vaginal microbiome’.

L. plantarum P17630^® is isolated from healthy vaginal flora. Six clinical studies conducted on more than 800 women, including two that involved oral administration (1,2), demonstrate the probiotic’s benefits in maintaining vaginal balance and supporting conventional treatments for recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis.

This probiotic comes in the form of a recommended daily dose of five billion CFU to be taken orally.
